Templates contain phases, tasks and/or team members that are typical to your project type, so creating a project from a template will expedite the project creation process. After you select the template you would like to use, you may add in any additional information (tasks, phases, due dates etc) not included in the template. Additionally, users can create drafts of their projects, and wait to publish the project until they are ready to invite the project team. 

Please note that only users with Admin permissions can create a project from a template. 

4 ways to create a project from a template

Option 1

  • Select ‘All projects’ on your left side navigation menu. 
  • Select Templates and choose an existing template
  • Select ‘Project from template’ option to create a project from the selected template. 

Option 2

  • Select ‘All projects’ on your left side navigation menu. 
  • Select Templates and navigate to the template.
  • Click the + sign on the far right column.

Option 3

  • Select ‘All projects’ on your left side navigation menu. 
  • Select ‘New from template’ button.
  • Select the template you would like to use 

Option 4

  • Select ‘All projects’ on your left side navigation menu. 
  • Select Templates and navigate to the template. 
  • Select the ellipses ‘...’ and Start new project. 

Save draft will save this project and reflect in your ‘All projects’ page in draft mode. Publish project will send all  team members invitations to join the project.
